Community Outreach
Part of making a difference in the community is being proactive, not reactive, in how we operate as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Thus, Jean’s Angels participates in a variety of community events each year, reaching out to those in need and providing them with essentials. Through the years, Jean’s Angels has given away thousands of toys, baby monitors, and infant clothes to parents of young children, and worked with a variety of group homes and retirement homes to provide their residents with critical household items- and a reason to feel joy.
TOY GIVEAWAY
In 2020, Jean’s Angels held its first toy giveaway. By New Year’s Eve of 2020, we had distributed 1,000 toys to underprivileged children throughout the Tri-County area despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, that number of toys had tripled; 3,000 toys were given out throughout the year.
In 2022, Jean’s Angels nearly doubled the 2021 toy giveaway numbers. Our organization provided over 5,000 toys to local children throughout eight separate giveaway events, each of which resulted in over $120,000 worth of toys being handed out. In other words, we distributed almost a million dollars worth of toys to Lowcountry children in one year!
The toys we distribute to the local children range from teddy bears to nerf balls and Chutes And Ladders, and everything in between. We also provide bookbags and school supplies for school-aged children, as well as diapers, infant clothes, and baby monitors for families of infants and toddlers. Different children have different hobbies and interests, and we do what we can to match children with toys that mean something extra to them.
Our team is always hard at work looking for new opportunities to help the local community, and as such, we have already held one toy giveaway event in 2023 and are looking to hold a few more before the end of the year.

A day of love for the homeless

Join us for Jean's Angels Day of Love For The Homeless on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month starting at 11 am. There will be FREE laundry, haircuts, showers and food!!
The giveaway will be held at Grace Chapel, 3231 Ladson RD- Ladson, SC 29456.

Nursing Home And Group Home Giveaways
Jean’s Angels works closely with local nursing homes and group homes to ensure that residents have the amenities they need. We provide homes with brooms, mittens, toaster ovens, George Foreman grills, branded microwaves, and more. In 2022 alone, we gave out 250 heaters to senior citizens throughout the Lowcountry, ensuring they would be well-equipped for those chilly winter nights. In addition, we team up with local nursing homes and distribute care bags for hundreds of senior citizens each December, giving them a little extra reason to smile during the holiday season.
